Facebook Connect allows commenters to login on your page using their Facebook profiles. Disqus comments that they write will show up with their name and profile picture from Facebook, and they'll be given the option to post an item about their comment to their Facebook Newsfeed.
If you do not already have a Facebook API key, fill out a “Create Application” form. Set your site's front page as the Callback URL, and under the "Facebook Connection" options tab, set your domain name as the Base Domain. If your Disqus site spans multiple domain names, you can't use Facebook Connect without adding a new site and Facebook application for each domain.
Once you've created your Facebook application, copy the API Key to your site's Disqus Admin/Settings page.
You do not have to submit your application to Facebook's Application Directory.
Some users will have their username and/or profile picture blocked in their privacy settings. They will appear with the name "Facebook User" and a default avatar.
If you get an error message in the Facebook Connect window:

Select the app you created for use with Disqus
Click Edit Settings on the right
In the Connect side tab, set the Connect URL to be your site's main page
Also, set the Base Domain to match your site's base domain (use basedomain.com instead of http://www.basedomain.com)
